Jason Safran ’01, chief investment officer, recently described his new appointment at TCU his “dream opportunity.†Safran was recently featured by CIO Magazine, a publication that informs and networks the world’s largest asset owners and the people who advise them.
“Especially when it’s your alma mater, there’s just that satisfaction of investing for the students,†he said. “A strong, healthy endowment helps us better support our students, people and programs and helps make TCU more accessible to the next generation of Horned Frogs.â€
He described TCU’s objectives-based investment strategy and generalist staffing model for the endowment and the university’s priority on long-term investment success.
“The goal is to maintain a long-term orientation,†Safran said. “That’s the foundation to enduring success as an investor—and positions TCU for growth and sustainability for our next 150 years.â€
